What closed and what changed in Puerto Princesa
Eight things about this city read differently in October 2026 from much of what you will find elsewhere. AirAsia suspended its Manila–Puerto Princesa flights from 1 October 2026. Grab rides are still not running: on 30 September 2026 the city said Grab's vehicles were still going through the process for its transport service. The Underground River booking office is at Mendoza Park, downtown, per the park's own contact page, and the park's site gives its tour schedule as 08:30 to 15:30. KaLui's old domain now serves a gambling site, and so does puerto-undergroundriver.com, a domain many guides treat as the river's official site. The Sabang resort many guides still call Sheridan trades as Four Points by Sheraton, and Honda Bay tours no longer land on Snake Island.
Old advice is the usual failure here, not bad advice
Every travel site claims its information is current. This one publishes the short list of changes it could actually confirm, with the source for each.
Much of what ranks for this city was written years ago and has not been updated: an airline schedule that has changed, a ride-hailing app that is talked about but not yet running, a booking office address, a restaurant website that no longer belongs to the restaurant. Each item below was checked against a source on 5 October 2026, and the sources are listed at the foot of the page.

A dead domain and a rebrand

The stable facts, so you can stop re-checking them
A freshness page that only lists changes gives a false impression of churn. Most of this city is where it was.
The Underground River is still a UNESCO World Heritage Site, inscribed on 4 December 1999, and still one of the New7Wonders of Nature, navigable for 4.3 km according to the park's own site. It is still permit-rationed, and the permit, not the hotel bed, is the thing to secure first. Tricycles are still how you get around.
The items worth re-checking every few months are the ones on this page: airline routes, ride-hailing, the river's booking process and schedule, the Honda Bay island roster, and which websites still belong to the businesses they are named after.
Where the live prices actually are
The advantage of a platform listing over a blog is not the price, it is that a product which stopped operating stops being listed. Local walk-up references: river ₱2,000–2,500, Honda Bay ₱1,500–2,000, city tour ₱600–900.

Is the Sheridan Beach Resort in Sabang still open?
The property trades as Four Points by Sheraton Palawan Puerto Princesa, and booking sites still show the old Sheridan name too. Search by location rather than by name.
Is KaLui's website kaluirestaurant.com?
